the raven title image

He struts through my heart like some hard-headed goon
Busy, and nosey, and noisy, and sharp;
With his swagger of certainty telling me, “Soon
You will come to me, come to me, come when I carp:

“Your raven of death is your raven of life,
And your raven of life is your raven of death;
And I’m counting each second that you hold your breath:
And I’m counting each second that you hold your breath.”
